i’ve been coming to Mercies for awhile now and it’s one of my go to coffee shops. they really seem to put a ton of effort into making sure their espresso is dialed in correctly, properly steamed milk, and overall drinks that taste amazing. as a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur;) i love Mercies coffee. the staff remember your name and overall make the experience wonderful all around. not to mention them raising awareness about human trafficking as well. if you haven’t stopped in yet, this should be your next stop!
Free and easy parking. The locally made donuts are great. Plenty of space to chat or work on laptop.
I am so glad to have found this place as the coffee I had was a iced mocha and wow is all I can say, they really knocked that one out of the park, I will definitely be a repeat customer now that I know how good the coffee is, at that the atmosphere was so inviting and the ladies at the counter where so nice and welcoming, just really made you feel comfortable all the way around, I can’t say thank you enough for making my experience a wonderful one.
Mercies Coffee is one of my absolute favorite coffee places! They always have such great service and the place is so cute and welcoming! Love all the healthy options and they taste so good! I highly recommend thier Coffee Date smoothie with protein powder! My favorite!

Server was mopping the floor and served me coffee without washing their hands first, and, touched the rim of the cup with their bare, unwashed hand. Will not return. May request an inspection by the City.
Beautiful shop, friendly people, great coffee, and all the food I've had from them has been fantastic. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, and the patio is a great place to hang out during the warmer weather. The seasonal drinks are SO good. Definitely a Saturday morning favorite.

They all seem to love their jobs and are always laughing and smiling. Not once have I ever heard of complaints about customer service. (I’m here all the time… explain later)I’ve also noticed that they make it a habit to memorize their customer’s name and treat them more than just a number.Mallory seems like a good boss to work for and treats her employees and customers with absolute respect.Ross - I feel like he helps Mallory RUN this place. I’m in Wisconsin for the summer, and I need a place to study and focus without feeling rushed out the door. I also needed a place that wasn’t too noisy and not too packed. There are all sorts of tables and bar tops that people can study/work at. As a student, I can study for 6+ hours at one time in one spot. There’s a couch, and other comfy chairs, too if you want that nice comfort/work balance. Again, the staff never made me feel uncomfortable being there.
I love the brown sugar nutmeg latte here. They make many of their own syrups. Baked goods and lunches are always excellent. Staff is friendly and good is quick! Cute place to sit and chat with friends or a date.
I ordered the berry smoothie and the was very bitter tasting… not worth my $9 and the cup was small…I’ll be sticking to Tropical smoothie from now on….Don’t waste your money… I did like the set up of the coffee shop and they have great customer service

Loved this coffee shop and its whole vibe! It was the perfect stop to take a break and get a pick-me-up during a long cross country road trip. Everyone was so uplifting and kind and it really added to the overall experience. Definitely recommend supporting this small local business!!🎶 God is great. Coffee is great. Mercies has become a must stop shop whenever I’m in the madison area. I love their iced mochas. The food options are amazing and I try something I’ve never had before, and love it every time! The atmosphere is amazing, I spent the majority of an afternoon working from this location! The staff are so friendly. You can tell the owner really cares about providing an environment where all feel welcomed! It’s amazing to go somewhere that serves upscale items, at great prices, and in such a comfortable environment. Oh and I picked up a thermos last time!!! As I say before I give my order, “when in Madison… mercies!”
I’ve had the honor and privilege to know the owner since college and it’s been a pleasure to watch her business grow over the last few years. She’s always willing to send us recipes to try out on my kiddos (picky eaters too) and the way she tries to make everyone around her feel at home has never failed to amaze me. Watching her grow, her personality shine and watching her business bring and pull out all her best attributes comes through in the care of her staff, her food and dedication to the customers in front of her. I cannot wait to see what she brings to the local community for many years to come!
Saw this place while dropping my dog off at Duncan's Dog Daycare and decided to stop in. So glad I did! Beautiful space. I just got coffee, which was great, but totally plan on coming back again to try to food! The menu looks delicious!
This is my new favorite spot for coffee on the east side! I got the sunrise breakfast sandwich on a croissant and it was easily the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in Madison. I also got an oat milk mocha, which was phenomenal. My husband was really impressed with his order as well. You can tell someone put a lot of care and thought into each item to make it high quality and work together well. The staff was super friendly and helpful to boot. Already looking forward to going back!
We love coming here for coffee and food. Mallory and her staff always provide excellent service. This is by far our favorite place to get coffee in Madison! They have delicious food and special seasonal drinks. The a lot of their syrups are made in house so the quality is amazing. Pay them a visit if you're visiting!
Such a comfortable environment with wonderful/ friendly staff. Family friendly and excellent food/coffee. About the only place I can find that does pour overs and they do a stellar job at that! Lots of stuff made in house, which makes the experience unique every time! Definitely stop here!
If you have a few minutes, this is a great coffee shop. Had the signature breakfast sandwich and it was really, really good; but the coffee! My cappuccino was spot on. Of the hundreds of coffee shops I’ve visited across the country, and I mean hundreds, this one is in the top three. Maybe even number two. That’s saying something. Drop by, take your time, and I hope your coffee is as good as the ones I had!
I stopped into Mercie's while on a recent trip to Madison. First of all, thank you for being open early! It should be illegal to own a coffee shop and open at 8PM or later and thankfully Mercie's opens up nice and early on weekdays and was a great early morning stop.I ordered a cup of their dark roast coffee that was delicious and also ordered one of their breakfast toasts. The toast is a thick cut of sourdough bread and is topped with peanut butter, bananas, homemade granola and a drizzle of honey. This is a fork and knife sort of toast and is absolutely dynamite. Packed with flavor and freshness, this is the sort of toast you could eat every single day and never grow tired of it.Mercie's has a great, hip vibe to it and is the kind of place that you could fire up the laptop, enjoy some coffee and get some work done.All in all, an excellent spot! One I will certainly be back to when in Madison next!
Great little cafe! Love the mason jars for iced drinks. Food is very fresh and colourful, tastes great! Wonderful atmosphere, love the decor and colours, much brighter than the last place that was here.Bathrooms are nice and clean. Automatic soap and paper towel dispensers are nice touch especially in covid world.Wish they were open on Sundays for brunch and open longer on Saturdays, but maybe they will change that in the future.I had the breakfast burrito and it was the best one I've had! Perfect amount of each ingredient.The staff are also very nice and welcoming. Overall a great place to grab a bite to eat, get some coffee, and relax. Hope this shop sticks around for good!
I always loved the previous cafe, but Mercies is a wonderful fresh perspective. Light and comfortable, delicious food you can tell is prepared by someone who cares, and you can’t help but want to support their mission and bring awareness to trafficking, I will be back again soon!
